I had every intention of starting a blog when I arrived in Montpellier, France. Then, to my dismay, living in a small dorm complex sharing an internet with hundreds of other students put a little hold on a lot of my internet plans- no Hulu, no Netflix, no Pandora, no good Skype quality, and frustratingly slow picture upload time (that is, if it uploads at all). So, I changed my plans and ditched a lot of my ideas that required the internet and picked up some productive hobbies: learning to the play the ukulele, bike riding, reading, and traveling. However, with 4 day weekends every weekend I have a lot of downtime, so I have of course spent some time on the internet, and lately, that time has been spent reading blogs (because they, unlike other forms of internet entertainment, don’t take forever to download). Now, two and a half months in to living in France, I finally have grown enough patience to use the internet and not want to chuck this beat-up mini-laptop of mine across the room. So here goes nothing…
